Colavita USA; the longtime sponsor of professional and amateur cycling and leading family-owned Italian extra virgin olive oil business will be celebrating LGBTQIA+ community as an official sponsor of NYC Pride 2018 and a presenting sponsor of NYC Pride Ride this year. Colavita has partnered with the LGBT non-profit OutCycling to generate awareness and enthusiasm for 2018’s Pride Ride. All cyclists are invited to experience the challenge of a 30, 60, or 100-mile ride which begins at Hudson Greenway, New York on 145th street.
Leading up to the excitement, Colavita will be hosting a happy hour event for cyclists riding at Pride Ride at the Italian restaurant Al Vicoletto in Union Square. The event will be followed by a kickoff party at the Broadway location of WeWork. Registered riders and supporters of NYC Pride Ride are encouraged to stop by Al Vicoletto to pick up their wristband and jersey on June 5th. Complimentary hors-d’oeuvres and beverages made with an array of Colavita products will be served while guests mingle with fellow riders. Likewise, on Thursday, June 7th, riders and supporters will enjoy dinner prepared with a range of Colavita products on the terrace of WeWork.
Along with NYC Pride Ride, Colavita and Bialetti have many other charitable initiatives lined up for this year including Best Buddies, a program grounded on enhancing lives of those afflicted with intellectual disabilities and teaches children to appreciate the health benefits of cycling and Tour de Pink which raises money for young woman battling breast cancer.
As a cycling sponsor since 2003, the same year that Team Colavita formed, Colavita has founded Colavita Cares whose primary mission is assisting charitable foundations in achieving their goals. Goals vary from children and families affected by economic hardship, physical disabilities, social discrimination and etc. Colavita Cares is a community outreach program that has been inspired by the longtime support of professional cycling for over 15 years along with promoting nutritious eating and exercise as the best means to a healthy lifestyle.
