In Marlborough, MA the Colavita Cares program treated over one hundred children of the Boys and Girls Clubs of MetroWest to pizza and a chance to win bikes and helmet sets. Colavita has been a long time sponsor of the Colavita-Bialetti Woman’s Pro Cycling Team whose goal is to spread the value of healthy lifestyles with initiatives such as cycling to encourage physical activity for children, which happens to be the main focus of the Colavita Cares program. Mary Zider, Director of the program, maintains that “As a family-owned company, Colavita really does care about supporting families and their children, and especially enjoys sharing the benefits of healthy living, riding bikes and being active with the kids.” The Colavita Cares team also prepared bike safety manuals for the event to educate children on the proper ways of riding a bike and how to continuously be safe while riding.
Freshly made brick oven pizza was provided for the children, compliments of the Colavita Pizza Truck, which is one of many means Colavita uses to reach out to the community to promote active lifestyles and healthy eating through the Colavita Cares program. Colavita, the leading family-owned food producer of one of the top-selling extra virgin olive oils in the United States prides themselves on being health-conscious, while maintaining great taste, staying true to its family-centered brand philosophy, and simplifying healthy eating habits. Peter Dickerman, Club Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest, was enthused and grateful for the program’s visit, “We were thrilled to have Colavita at our Marlborough Club teaching our members about the importance of bike safety. We are very grateful to have earned support through the Colavita Cares program.”
Colavita is genuinely devoted to both aiding charitable foundations that benefit families and individuals, and to promoting exercise and nutritious eating. The Colavita Cares program and the Colavita-Bialetti Women’s Professional Cycling Team are ways that the trusted family brand reaches out to the community to positively influence families throughout the United States.
