About Lesia Tsurenko

Born and raised in Ukraine, Lesia started playing tennis at a young age and turned professional in 2007, playing events in the ITF Circuit. Her coach is Dmytro Brichek, a tennis player also from Ukraine. Her favorite tournaments are the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the Madrid Open. In 2008, she won her first singles title and three doubles titles on the circuit. In 2010 she reached the qualifying rounds of major tournaments like Wimbledon and US Open and has continued to improve her game every year, this year in 2017 reaching the third round of Wimbledon in London, England. So far in her career, she has won three WTA singles titles, and made it to 3R in Wimbledon this past July. She won her first singles title at Istanbul Open in 2015, following with a second title in 2016 at the Guangzhou Open and a third this year in 2017 at the Mexican Open in Acapulco. Lesia is also a part of the Ukraine Fed Cup Team, which represents Ukraine at the Fed Cup, a premier international team competition in Women’s Tennis.

At this point in her career, Lesia has played 22 WTA tournaments and is ranked #30 best women’s tennis player in the world. Her dedication to the sport is shown through her hard work and continued advancement in here career, and Colavita could not be more proud to sponsor an inspiring athlete and role model.
