The 43rd Annual Winter Fancy Food Show hosted by the Specialty Food Association (SFA) was held from January 21st to January 23rd at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. This year the show highlighted 1,400 exhibitors including 20 from foreign nations. The show focusses on specialty, gourmet, ethnic, natural and organic food and beverages. Products featured include sweets, cheeses, coffees and teas, hors-d’oeuvres and spices.
The Winter Fancy Food Show is the top West Coast trade show and exhibition that is dedicated solely to specialty food and beverage producers and buyers. Representing the industries obligation to meet consumer needs; 90,000 specialty food products were on display from innovative goods to international tastes. New Products are displayed throughout the isles giving potential clients and partnerships a chance to taste trends for the upcoming year. Almost all conceivable products can be spotted from delectable cheeses from France, Chocolates from Germany and reinvented teas from China. The list of goods is incessant, and the competition is high. Distributors and buyers from all across the globe travel to find the best of the best of each category of food and drink.
Colavita has exhibited at the Fancy Food Show for the past 31 years. This year Colavita displayed not only new products but top-selling products that are a consumer favorite, such as Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and Organic Pasta. Each year Colavita has the chance to display over 200 products from private label brands such as Perugina chocolate to fan favorites like Niasca Portofino beverages in Limonata and Mandarinata flavors. Colavita gave out mini bottled samples of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Balsamic, and White Wine Vinegars. Patrons had the chance to taste five varieties of Colavita’s World Olive Oils, which include Mediterranean, Spanish, Greek, Italian, and California.
