Heat the oil and butter in a large saute pan; add the onion and ham; saute until the onion is soft. Add the Brussels sprouts; season with the basil, thyme, salt and pepper. Add the reserved pasta water; cook, covered, until the Brussels sprouts are done, about 14 minutes. Add the pasta to the pan, toss to combine. Remove from heat; add the cheese, toss to combine.
