Tuna Sauce

Serve this tasty sauce over your favorite COLAVITA or Dal Raccolto Pasta.
Origin: Italian
Ingredients:

2 tablespoons COLAVITA Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 anchovy fillets, minced
1 (14.5 - ounce) can plum tomatoes, broken up with your hands
1 (6.5 ounce) can tuna, drained


Preparation:


Heat the oil over medium heat; add the onions and saute 5 minutes.  Add the garlic, saute until the onions begin to brown.  Add the anchovies, crush them with a spoon; add the tomatoes; breaking them up with the back of your spoon; cover and simmer to form a sauce, about 15 minutes.  Break the turn up into large flakes; add the the sauce with a little pepper (anchovies and turn are already salty, so do not add any salt); simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes more.
