Bellisimo Mixed Green Salad w/Gorgonzola-Basil Dressing

"Colorful mixed greens highlighted with crisp, tart apple, red onion, chunks of chicken and crunchy toasted pecans tossed in a fragrant full-flavored basil vinaigrette studded with tangy Gorgonzola. Bellisimo!"
Ingredients:

VINAIGRETTE:
1/4 cup COLAVITA Balsamic Vinegar
2 tablespoons water
1 package Good Seasons Basil Vinaigrette Salad Dressing Mix
1/2 cup COLAVITA Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
 
SALAD:
1 (8-ounce) package mixed salad greens
1 cup watercress, torn into bite-size pieces
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
1 (6-ounce) package  precooked, grilled chicken strips, diced
1 Granny Smith apple, cored and julienned
1/2 cup toasted pecan halves, broken in half


Preparation:


Place vinegar, water and salad dressing mix in jar with tight fitting lid. Shake vigorously until well blended. Add oil and shake again until blended. Add cheese. In large bowl, combine salad greens, watercress, chicken, apple, red onion and pecans. Pour over enough salad dressing to moisten; tossing to coat. Divide salad among individual serving plates. Drizzle with remaining dressing.
