Baked Pears with Creme Fraiche
"I like to keep my desserts simple and fruity."
Ingredients:

1/4 cup dark rum
6 pears
1 cup packed light brown sugar
3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
2 tsp. grated nutmeg
1 cup creme fraiche, sour cream or ice cream


Preparation:


Preheat oven 375F (190C). Pour the rum into a shallow baking dish. Cut pears in half and remove cores. Place the pears, brown sugar and butter in baking dish. Bake 15 minutes. Sprinkle with nutmeg and baste with pan juices. Bake 10 minutes or until pears are just tender. Top with creme fraiche, sour cream or ice cream. Makes 6 to 8 servings
