Italian Sausage Pie
Serve with a nice green salad for a tasty and satisfying lunch.
Origin: Italian
Ingredients:

1 pie shell (can use pizza dough)
3/4 pound sweet Italian sausage (casing removed, crumbled)
1/2 cup chopped onions
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup cream or whole milk
1 cup cheese, shredded (mozzarella or provolone)
Salt/pepper, to taste


Preparation:


Place dough in pie pan. Saute sausage and onions, drain, and spoon into prepared pie pan. Blend eggs, cream, cheese, salt and pepper pour over sausage and bake in a 350 degree oven 35 minutes, or until a custard forms. Allow to cool. Serve in small pieces. Serves 6 - 8
